The epitome of a charitable deed December 7, 2009

When Sandra Perry decided to run the marathon in order to raise money for a friend and costumer of Tom’s Bar & Grill the regulars rallied around. She was raising money to provide an electric wheelchair for Colin Graham who has Multiple Sclerosis and her outstanding achievement brought in ample funds; however, Colin was more than happy to accept a light-weight chair and so suggested benefitting a charity with the remainder. Sandra – a devoted animal lover – chose the Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary and we are honoured to accept this most charitable of donations.
With the country facing financial cutbacks the Sanctuary is reaching crisis point. As the general public are tightening their belts we are witnessing a lot of faithful family pets being given up as an expense too far for many owners. Veterinary treatment and pet food are not a priority on many household lists; thus leaving Sanctuaries like Mid-Antrim full beyond capacity.
This generous donation from the staff and regulars of Tom’s Bar & Grill stands as the archetype of charitable deeds and we delighted to accept this contribution on behalf of all the residents in our care.
Thank you, Amy! October 21, 2009

To Everyone at Sam’s Bar June 5, 2009

A Huge Thank you for your kind donation of £140.00, which will go to help care for and improve the conditions of the residents at the Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary.
On average we are home to one hundred and thirty animals that are either sick or unwanted and have nowhere else to go. The veterinary bills along with food, electric and general upkeep of the premises total in excess of £250,000.00 each year. Since we receive no support from the government we rely entirely on the kindness and generosity of the public. As such, we would like to extend our gratitude to you as without your financial help this work could not continue.

We hope you will continue to support us in the future and help us in our bid to educate the new generation of pet owners of the drastic problem we face in Northern Ireland. фото эротике порнухи eli movie download

Christmas/New Year’s Update January 3, 2009

Dear Friends,
Unfortunately we were unable to complete a Newsletter this winter and would like to apologise to the membership for this failure on our part. As such, we hope this brief update will suffice while the Newsletter goes into production, and that 2009 will see us regain a more positive editorial standard!
We trust you all had a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year. We cannot thank you enough for the incredible support we have received this year. Your contributions of food, blankets and monetary collections have made a huge difference to the lives of so many. With the country facing financial hardship, we had been preparing for something of a crisis over the festive season. As the general public have had to tighten their belts, we have witnessed many faithful family pets being given up as an expense too far. Veterinary treatment and pet food did not make a priority on many household lists thus leaving sanctuaries like Mid-Antrim full almost beyond capacity.
Fortunately for us, the generosity of Sanctuary supporters seemed to outweigh the apathy of the nation. We were inundated with good-will gestures, and despite the sleet and ice, volunteers turned up to help in their droves. The picture above shows Caroline Poole, Joy Galbraith and two Sanctuary residents with Santa Claus. They arrived at the Sanctuary before 7am (while Santa was still doing his rounds) in order to have all the pets in our care fed, cosy and happy before they left to start their own Christmas.
This is a sentiment we witness over and over at Mid-Antrim: the kindness and consideration of those who put the needs of the residents before their own. With this in mind, we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and believe that with members such as you, we too will have a heart-warming and productive year.
Our thanks and best wishes.

For the sum of £60 for one year or £30 for 6 months, you can have the piece of mind that you are keeping one of our long term animals safe and in the very best of care. Your kind donation will go towards food, veterinary treatment and the day-to-day costs of maintaining your chosen sponsor at the sanctuary.
When you sponsor an animal you will receive 2 items of MAAS merchandise, a regular newsletter, as well as a picture of your new ‘friend’. You will also receive one year’s free membership.
We hope you think of Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary this Christmas!
