Rhodes 2 Safety are delighted to be bringing their canine first aid workshop back to Northern Ireland.
The K9 1st Aid courses delivered by Rhodes 2 Safety have been ranked as the UK’s Number 1 in the 2017 Business Excellence Awards, so you know the information and service you get will be second-to-none.
They deal with shock, bleeding, choking, bites, road traffic accidents as well as the big topics of CPR and Artificial Respiration.
Students do not bring their dogs, but the instructor will have one or two of her Ridgebacks with her for demonstration purposes.
Each student will gain a certificate of attendance and full course notes to take away, so note taking throughout the session is unnecessary. For students attending as part of their vocational studies, the course generates 3 CPD points.
During the bandaging section, the instructor will demonstrate on one of her dogs and then students will be put into pairs to allow one to be the first aider and the other to be the doggy patient.
This session is sure to be fun, lively and incredibly effective at getting the important first aid information across that could well save the life of your furry companion.

Since we opened in April 1996 we have found caring homes for an average of 20 animals each week (over 7000 to date). They come from many sources; some are abandoned, others come to us because their owners have to go into care, some due to marital breakups, moving abroad, and others are unclaimed animals from pounds throughout Northern Ireland.
