Unsung Hero June 4, 2010

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of Jonathan Adams who donates his time and energy to caring for animals. We ask you to share your time and energy with him… Jonathan, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, Osteoporosis, and Diabetes, has dedicated his life to his voluntary work with animals at the Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary. Not only is he the proud owner of four rescue dogs, but also shoulders the responsibility of over twenty Sanctuary Residents through his devotion to helping the homeless. As the Long-Term Sponsorship Secretary Jonathan writes to sponsors individually with stories, photographs and updates from their beneficiary.
At the present time Jonathan’s condition has left him unable to leave his home. His dependency on oxygen means he can no longer travel outside the perimeter of his oxygen cylinder equipment. As such we, at the Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary, are desperately trying to raise funds to purchase a portable oxygen compressor. If you can help in any way please do.
Friends of Jonathan are holding a night of music – acoustic and electronic – with a delicious buffet provided by our friends and sponsors at Clinivet (a local business based in Randalstown who have supported MAAS – residents and projects – with unyielding sincerity) along with outstanding prizes to be won in a fantastic raffle. As the generosity of the management and staff at The Ramble Inn has afforded us the wonderful opportunity to hold this fundraiser, we are confident of a magnificent night, one we trust will bring a miracle. We all take each breath for granted, please help by giving Jonathan this gift.
