Sponsored Dog Walk Update March 31, 2008

On Saturday the 29th of March 2008 the Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary held a sponsored dog walk in memory of Nigel, Tiny and Will — the three dogs which were deemed to be of a dangerous breed, and subsequently condemned to death on Valentine’s Day this year.
Although the heavens opened and the day looked set to be a wash-out we were more than impressed by the turnout of over 40 volunteer walkers and members of the public. All the dogs on the premises enjoyed their walk, but seemed to prefer Ernie Adams (pictured) giving them a good rub down with a towel afterwards!
We would like to thank everyone involved so much as the hard work they achieved through sponsorship raised almost £1300.00, an EXCELLENT RESULT! Although the day itself came about through such sad circumstances, we hope that everyone can look back and remember the dogs fondly, and work towards providing a better future for the residents still in our care.
